Project overview

More than
just recipes

01

The problem

How can we redesign Alletiders Kogebog into a more personal recipe universe that makes it easy to discover, save and share recipes?

02

The solution

A more personal experience built around user profiles, saved recipes and easier ways to discover new inspiration.

Desk Research

Understanding the user before designing

Before jumping into solutions, we explored how people use recipes in everyday life and where the current experience creates friction.

Key insights

What we've learned

01

Recipes are personal

Users don't just search for recipes. They build collections around memories, preferences and everyday life.

02

Finding is only the beginning

Users also need an easy way to save, organise and return to recipes later.

03

Food creates connection

Recipes can be a way of sharing experiences, inspiration and connections with others.

The solution

Designed around
real behaviour

The research led us towards a more personal recipe experience where users can make the platform their own.

01

A personal profile

A space where users can save and organise recipes based on their own preferences.

02

Save for later

Making it easy to build a personal recipe collection and return to favourites.

03

Discover more

A clearer and more intuitive way to explore recipes and find new inspiration.

Final design

A more personal
recipe experience

Reflection

What we learned

This project taught us the importance of looking beyond the interface. By understanding users' habits, motivations and frustrations first, we were able to create a solution based on real needs rather than assumptions.
